Yes. SKU is very important because it’s the ID that identifies your items.
What if I did not use SKU number before?
If you did not use SKU before for your Amazon online inventory, we strongly suggest you to generate SKU's and replace your entire inventory list with the new inventory that has SKU's. Here is what you should do. First, generate a latest open list report using menu import/import new from Amazon. Then, use menu tools/complete SKU for all items to automatically generate SKU's. The pattern of SKU's can be customized using the data template option. Finally, upload the new list to Amazon using the Purge/Replace upload option.
Can I import data from SellerEngine?
Yes. Import from SellerEngine is very easy. From SellerEngine, use menu “Export / Export Item Report” to export the data into a text file. Then in SellerMagic ALT, select menu “Import / From file”, in the pop-up dialog, select file format “SellerEngine Item Report”.
First, you need to request an inventory snapshot from Half.com. The snapshot file will be email to your email account by half.com. Save the file into the local disk. And use menu “Import / From file” and select Half.com as file format to import the file.
First you need to save the Excel file as a TAB delimited text file using File/Save as in Excel. Then import the file to SellerMagic ALT using menu "Import / From File". Select the file format as "custom format ". Click CFG button by the "custom format" radio button to define the data format. The items in the "Selected Columns" list box should map to the columns in the data file.
Sure. First, install the CueCat barcode scanner. To do that, insert the CueCat scanner cable into your computer’s keyboard input and connect the keyboard to the adaptor in the CueCat cable. Second, go to the new product view of the SellerMagic ALT window and put focus to the product ID entry. Scan the barcode with the CueCat.
If the barcode is ISBN, then after scanning, the information of the book will be automatically obtained from Amazon.com. Of course, you need to keep the internet connection on during the scanning in order to do that.

Use menu "Export/Upload to Amazon" to upload the new inventory to Amazon.com. In the upload dialog, select upload mode as “repricing”. In this mode, only price, SKU and delete flag will be uploaded to Amazon.com. All the other fields, such as quantity will not be uploaded. Therefore, Amazon.com will only update the price and leave other fields unchanged.
First, use the "edit/option" menu, edit the Price check(2) option. You need to set the threshold for price too high and price too low warning. Then you go to auto pricing option to edit the auto pricing rules. You can selectively enable auto price decreasing and auto price increase separately If the auto pricing is enabled, the price will be automatically raised or lowered to the threshold price if it’s below (for the price too low) or above (for price too high) the threshold .
“Compare” tab lists all the third party offers that meet the criteria you defined in the “price check” options. Offers that do not meet the criteria are filtered out and not listed in the “compare” tab. Therefore, the offers in the “compare” tab are your competitors. The competing price and your offer status are computed based on the statistic calculation of the offers listed in the “compare” tab.
Select menu edit / option and configure the “List Display Fields” options. Edit the “Selected Columns” at the right side of the property page. They correspond to the data fields in the list view.
The image of the product is fetched following the image URL and displayed at the bottom right side of the window. By default, the image URL is the link to the medium size product image in Amazon.com unless the “Image Url” data field is set. In that case, the image is fetched from the link pointed by the “Image Url” data field. Since the image is fetched from a remote server, the online connection is required.
If you could not see the product image, it could be because one of the following reasons:
- the computer is not connected to the Internet, or
- you set the “Image Url” data field but that link is not valid, or
- the Amazon.com does not have the product image
.
